South Valley Kids

Weekly Bible Adventure

…Because the BIBLE should never be BORING!

You will discover quickly that we love kids at South Valley. Walk around our campus and you will see the exciting environments we created for your kids to build a relationship with God and with others each Sunday morning!  We believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be exciting, and good leaders always care.

We are also committed to your child’s safety.  All of our volunteers are interviewed prior to serving with us, and they are fingerprinted via the LiveScan service for background checking purposes.  We also use a computer CHECK-IN SYSTEM for added security.

We offer Children’s Ministries during both the 9:00am and 11:00am services.  It just might be the best hour of your child’s entire week!

3 Years Old

We offers a safe, loving environment to take care of children at the age of 3. We provide a structured environment of play and discovery as they engage in activities with the volunteers and other kids! Worship, prayer, and Bible stories are a stronger emphasis within this particular age group.

Check-in/Pick-up Room #202

Our Pre-K (Pre-School and Kindergarten) Ministry is designed for children who are ages 4 and 5.  Each week, the kids learn how they get to be a part of the Big God Story, and participate in games, crafts, and other activities that reinforce the Ponder Point for the day!

1-6 Grade

Our Elementary space is geared toward kids who are in the 1st-6th grade. We utilize a Large Group/Small Group format! Large group time is spent learning the Big God Story, singing high-energy songs of worship, playing fun games, and responding to the message in creative ways. From there, they enter into small groups (per their age group), and meet with a leader in smaller groups to discuss the story, and do activities that reinforce the material.

Parent Resouces

Spend time together in God’s Word with your children each week. The down-loadable resources go along with the story or principle your child will learn in the Sunday Bible Adventure.

Great Resource For Your Kids

Bring the Bible to life on your computer, tablet or phone.  This fun, interactive resource features colorful illustrations with touch-activated animations.  Games and activities help kids remember what they learn – and it’s FREE.

It’s fun, it’s easy, and it’s a great way to get everyone in the family involved.

Your Child’s Safety Is Very Important To Us

Check-in/Check-out Procedures

As you arrive on campus, you will be greeted by the ministry leader of that service! You will be checked-in via our computer system. Upon check-in, you’ll be given the following:

A printed adhesive name tag for your child.
A printed adhesive name tag for your child’s diaper bag or backpack (if needed)
A printed adhesive parent security tag, which will be necessary for pick up.

For check out, you will need to present our volunteers with the parent security tag that you received during check in. We will only release your child to those with the matching tag.

Parent Paging System

In the event that you may be needed during the worship service, you will be paged via the projector screens in the worship center. At the bottom of the screen, your child’s security number (which is on both your child’s tag, AND your security tag) will show discreetly on the bottom of the screen. You will need to make your way to your child’s room to follow up with the volunteers.

FYI: In the event that your child is crying, we will make attempts to console them with a variety of methods. We will page you if our attempts are unsuccessful after ten minutes of inconsolable crying.

AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) is a non-denominational, international ministry that assists churches in reaching children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him.

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.   2 Timothy 2:15
